January Happenings

Adam is now 3! That went by so fast! He has moved on from his toddler bed to the twin, and is finding his way to our bed in the middle of the night- well rather around 3-4 am. He's doing well though- he has a new phrase- "I miiiiss you" It's so sweet to hear that from him.

Travis was happy to head back to school after a long Christmas break. He had perfect weekly reports from class for 7 weeks in a row now. Thrilled about his good behavior in school and his great manners. At the post office a couple of weeks ago, he held the door open for all the people coming in and out and just being helpful. his new job is clearing the table after dinner- a job he really like doing :)

Cayley is doing good too. School is going smoothly for her- with the occasional homework frustrations- but nothing too bad. Today is report card day and I'm sure she's make good grades again :) Her job is setting the table for me. Last week they wanted to have a "fancy" dinner, so we changed the table cloth, put some flowers in a vase and lit some candles! Cayley & Travis were in charge of this while I cooked dinner. It was so cute! Travis got dressed up in his nice shirt & tie (man clothes he calls them) and Cayley put on a new dress.

Tim is well- working a lot, but his branch rankings for 07 were excellent! He was the top branch service manager in the area. So glad he's getting the recognition he deserves! Very proud of him and his dedication to his job.

I am really trying to get my house in order- using the FLY Lady to help. Like right now, I'm on a break, but I am working on it. All is good with me- and when it' s not, I try and remind myself just how blessed my life really is. Linzi's baby shower is coming up next weekend!!! This will be a wonderful getaway for me. So excited to see everyone!

That's it for now :)

No Time for Blogging Lately- December Update

So here's an update :)

This Christmas season was wonderful! Kids got to play int he snow here at the subdivision- and see Santa!!! Secret Santa with playgroup was fun and MNO Christmas party at a fellow playgroup mom's house. Everyone brought some great food and I had a super time.

Then it was Tim's vacation- we actually got to go out to breakfast together with Adam while Cayley & Travis were in school. Travis had his pre-k Christmas prgram that next week and that was FUN! Our little Travis was singing and dancing. It was only 20minutes long- but that's long enough for 80+ pre k kids!

Class parties were good-Now the kids are off for the holidays- one week down & one to go :) Actually it's going really well this week.

Round One-
Christmas Eve my mom, step dad & AJ came up to visit!! It was so great! The kids decorated gingerbread men with the grandparents and Tim & I took AJ w/ us to Bass Pro Shop. That was more fun then I expected. Plus it was nice to spend time w/ my little brother- who is so much taller than me!!! Came home and we had some super tamales & chicken torilla soup(yummy) and just hang out a thome that night. Oh we tracked Santa on NORAD again this year- so cool!

Christmas morning- I thought ahead and set the coffee to start at 5:30am- thank goodness!!! By 6am, the kids were up and woke up grandpa & daddy!!! It was so much fun to see the kids open their gifts- even Travis was cute when he got something that wasn't Spiderman or a robot!!!

After the big wrapping paper clean up- I cooked pancakes and got a second cup of coffee, lol! The rest of the morning was filled with learning how to work the robots all the kids got and dressng up for some family Christmas pics.

Round Two-
My mom left around 12:30 and my dad & Linda go there around 3pm. Tim was working on deep frying his first turkey and we were all excited!Yep- so more food! But this meal was way easier for me :) and yep- more presents! It was a nice 2 days with my families!!!!

Round Three-
Has yet to happen, but coming soon! Monday is Adam's 3rd birthday!!! Dad & Linda are bringing Cayley back from SA on Saturday or Sunday and then we'll have a little something for my baby. - and then again on Monday :)

I'll add some pics later- gotta clean up some more!!!!

Our Thanksgiving & Stuff

well, to follow up with the previous blog- travis' tooth did come out. he and adam were playing and then all of a sudden "poof" the loose tooth is on the couch. the tooth fairy came to visit and took his tooth away and left a dollar. travis was not interested in the money, but really wanted his tooth back. lol he later forgot about it and went on with his life.

so the kids had the whole week of thanksgiving off from school. yep- that made me a little nervous to have all 3 home and try and get ready for the big lunch on thursday. but my dad & linda came up and took cayley & trav back to sa with them from sunday- wednesday!!! i got so much done and felt good too. a BIG thanks to you guys!!!!

tim, adam, & i actually got to take a trip to the mall and get my secret santa's gifts and have a real nice dinner out!! adam was so sweet- since he had already eaten dinner :)

lunch on thanksgiving was so good! i love thanksgiving foods so much! sounds weird, but so true. did a little shopping on black friday and then did nothing much besides watch movies and decorate for christmas at home.

it was hard getting the kids up and moving on monday and each had their excuses for wanting to stay in bed...but nope! they went to school.

i have several portrait sessions coming up. very excited about that :) so fingers crossed for more great weather like today!!!

UPDATE!
Cayley has now lost her first tooth! What a busy month it's been for the tooth fairy :) I'll share some pics soon.

Travis & His Loose Tooth

last thursday, travis was sitting at the kitchen table and tried to get down and ended up falling off the chair. his top teeth went through his bottom lip! i was so trying not to freak out, and he was pretty calm about it at first.

then came all the blood. omg! now i'm like yelling at cayley to keep adam in the other room while trav and i are in the bathroom. i called my mil for her mommy opinion and together we didn't think he needed stiches, but one of his top teeth was super loose. poor travis was so exhausted by this point and he falls asleep on the couch once the bleeding stopped. i was so emotionally drained too.

i called our 24- hour nurse hotline and she said i was doing all i could. so friday i took him to see the dentist to check his tooth. well, after the xrays, they found that trav has an extra tooth above his 2 front baby teeth but below his permanent ones. so when it's time, it will be easy to remove, but right now that tooth is making it hard for the loose one to tighten up again.

he'll be ok- just enough to scare me!! now all he wants is for it to come out. it's looking pretty dangle"y" today so i called the super wonderful dentist. she said let him do what he want and if it comes out then ok. so that's the plan :)

Now on to October.....

Ah! September flew by! With everyone getting their new schedules, new schools, new buses, fundraiers, it really went by fast. Now October is going to be BUSY!

There's my class reunion in 7 days and as of right now I think it's under control again . Things got a little scary there for a minute, but like all good things, everything is falling into place for us :) My parents are all being so supportive of this event and are helping in great ways. So if you are reading this "Thank You!". I get to see all of them this next weekend AND get to see my friends and have a night out with Tim. Wow! All of this rarely happens, let alone in the same weekend.

Travis has his first field trip and they are going to Moody Gardens Aquarium! I already booked my spot to go with :) My sweet neighbor said she would keep Adam for me so I can go. Oh and Trav's teacher emailed and asked if I'd be on a site based comittee at he school...I said sure! They only meet once a month afterschool, so that's all good for me. Very excited that they asked me to be on it :) I guess they figure I'll be around for the next 4 years possibly, lol!

Cayley is doing so well in school! All of her returned papers are 100s except one 94--she felt bad about it. She know's she's a smartie! Dancing with the Stars is back on and that's our show to watch together! I love sitting down with her and laughing, cheering, and being a judge of the show too! I know we'll have class halloween parties to help with :)

Today is October 30, 2007-

WOW! Ok, not much blogging going on here lately! So here's an update:
Class reunion was wonderful! Annie &MaryAnn are the best! We had the same goals and worked so well together. Lucky for us, someone else wants to organize a 15 year. lol

Travis' field trip was great! He did not want me to go with him. Being at school is HIS time and not for mommy- he says. He got over it and we had a fun morning together at the aquarium. He's so silly. Lately he's doing these crazy funny poses for pictures.

Cayley got her first 1st grade report card and all 100s. Her reading is so good and her math is strong too. I got to eat lunch with her at school last week and it was so nice to see her in her element. She was quieter than at home, but she was so happy to share the time with me. I got to sit and chat with her teacher too and that was nice. Cayley's class Halloween party is tomorrow and I'm helping :) Trav's is today and I better get going to make it to his costume parade--more updates to come!

back from Trav's party-- really quick trip for me & Adam. Adam just was into everythng, so we left early. Did get some good pics though. During the parade- guess who lead it off???? TRAVIS! Super cute!

Adam is talking more lately. He's saying "yes". He's doing well and just being a sweetheart most of the time :)

I had a portrait session a couple of weekends ago and it was so much fun! Looking forward to being busy with pictures this fall/winter!

Tim's doing good too. He was in Pennsylvannia all last week for a training session. We missed him and glad he's back home.

Anything else???
